Revelation 10:1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
- 1/The cloud
- 2/The Rainbow
- 3/The Sun
- 4/Pillars of Fire
1/ The Cloud
—Numbers 16:42 And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared.
—Exodus 40:34 So Moses finished the work Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
2/ The Rainbow
The Rainbow is the glory of the LORD. The glory of the Lord does not belong to any other angel, nor to a so-called “queen of heaven”, nor the pope, nor to any man, and it definitely does not belong to any other graven image.
—Isaiah 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images
—Isaiah 40:5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
—Exodus 40:34,35 Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle 35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
—Ezekiel 1:28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake
–Revelation 4:3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
—Luke 2:8-12 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
Genesis 9:13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
3/The Sun
—Revelation 10:1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
—Psalms 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
—Matthew 17:1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart 2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
—Psalms 19:4-6 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun 5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race 6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof (reference to Yahshua Christ
—Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
—Revelation 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
4/Pillars of Fire
One pillar of fire was leading Israel to the earthly promised Land. Two pillars of fire will lead the tribes of Israel and believers out of gentiles to the heavenly Promised Land.
—Exodus 13:21-22 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night.
—Exodus 14:19 And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,
—Nehemiah 9:12 Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go.
